Welcome! I’m David Arellano and this is my story.

First, I want you to meet my family.  Melina and I have been married 12 years. She grew up in Lakewood, just like I did. I couldn’t be happier to be able to raise my two daughters, Jordyn and Lydia, in the beautiful city where I grew up.

 

If you grew up in Lakewood, there are several ways our paths might have crossed. Maybe you remember me from Hoover Middle School or DeMille Elementary. We might have been football teammates at Lakewood High School. I coached girls track at Mayfair and Lakewood High School and am a volunteer soccer coach through Lakewood’s excellent youth sports program.

 

Lately, my volunteer time has been spent promoting local businesses as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Greater Lakewood Chamber of Commerce. I am the owner of Preferred Auto Design in nearby Bellflower – aka “The PAD.” We are a collision repair center, where we also specialize in classic car restoration.

 

Moving to Lakewood as a child with my adoptive family was life-changing for me. I’d like the opportunity to repay this community for helping to shape me into the man I am today. I have ideas for how we can maintain a good quality of life here and make our city even better. Take a look at my priorities.
